I bought this book for my 95 year old father, who spent his life on the race track, part of that time was in Kentucky. He seems to be enjoying it, but takes exception to some facts! Horses and Kentucky and blue grass just go together. If you love the sport of horse racing, I think this is a good book, but I haven't read it myself.
I am not a big race horse fan but I ordered this book as a gift for one of my granddaughters because she loves horses of any type. I decided to look through the book to see what it was about and found myself caught up reading about little known things about these horses. It was easy reading with lots of pictures.If you have an interest in race horses or not I recommend this book because it goes beyond the stats of the horses.
another interestiing book for racing fans
This is a great book. It tells you a lot about the horses and where they raced.It is information most horse lovers never get to see or know about. Uncle Gene was a very lucky man to have known these horses and loved them. Most people just dream of the things he lived..
This book has information about the horses of the early years and more.I like it because it has pictures to go along with the information.Great book it is !
Loved it! I was glad to finally see a book that was more than statistics and gave personality to the animals.
