This book suggests to use a glass aquarium . Chameleons are much better off in a screen cage. It did have some good advice but it didn't say much about stressing out your Chameleon by holding it . most Chameleons don't like to be held and little kids get Chameleons as pets and I think they are the worst pets for kids as they are shy reclusive animals. It also said Chameleons like to be pet ,they don't because they have thin sensitive bony skin .

This book is written in such a way that the beginning simply refers to “chameleons†as if each sub order requires the same care. Only in the back of the book does it give you a one page write up on the needs of each of the commonly maintained captive species. This reads more like a college paper than a professional informational guide. I was looking for a more advanced read. I know what a chameleon is. I wanted to know specifics and was disappointed.
